Kyle Connor had a great 2019-2020 campaign for the Winnipeg Jets. Will the star forward have another successful season in 2021?

Last year, Kyle Connor took the Winnipeg Jets by storm. Every game his speed and quick shot were on full display and he was definitely a bright spot for the Jets. His efforts paid off at the end of the season when he finished 2019-2020 in co-lead for the Jets in points scored with, linemate, Mark Scheifele.

Connor had an outstanding 38 goals and 35 assists for 73 points in 71 games played last season. This was good enough to have him ranked in the top-twenty in the NHL for points scored last year.

The Clinton Township, Michigan native will be starting his fifth year in the NHL on January 14, when the Jets open up their season on home ice against the Flames.

Each year Connor puts up more points and becomes a more complete player. In his first full season with the Jets in 2017-2018, Connor had 57 points.

He followed that impressive total up with 66 points in 2018-2019 and then he followed that up with a 73 point season last year.

Connor is projected to be back on the Jets top-line this year on the wing alongside Scheifele, at center, and Blake Wheeler, on the right side.

As we’ve noted Connor gets better and puts up more points each season throughout his young NHL career.

In the upcoming 56-game season against only Canadian franchises as opponents, I do think Connor will have a nice season points-wise and finish close to a point per game average. I predict Connor will score 31 goals and have 25 assists in 2021. This will give him a great total of 56 points in 56 games.
