The Winnipeg Jets are in Ottawa tonight as they look to improve their win streak to four games when they faceoff against the Senators. Puck drop for tonight’s game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. central.

This game is also the first of a pair of games between these sides at the Canadian Tire Centre. Winnipeg and Ottawa will conclude this series on Wednesday night.

The Winnipeg Jets come into this game in the midst of a five-game road trip. Tonight will be game three of the Jets’ trip.

The Jets started their road trip with a two-game series sweep in Montreal against the Canadiens. Winnipeg played well in the first game, winning 4-2 on Thursday night. Then on Saturday night, the Jets dominated the game en route to a 5-0 shutout.

On the other hand, the Senators are on a streak of their own. The Senators have lost their last four games. This losing streak started last Monday in Winnipeg when the Jets beat Ottawa 4-3 and since then Ottawa has lost to the Oilers twice and Toronto.

It is no surprise that the Jets are the favorites tonight. Winnipeg has dominated the season series, winning five of six games so far between these sides.

The Winnipeg Jets have used the same lineup in back-to-back games since Blake Wheeler has been out with an injury and it looks like that lineup with stay the same tonight.

Jansen Harkins has been inserted onto the Jets’ fourth line and has performed well after not playing since February 19 due to being scratched.

Over the course of this season, Paul Maurice and the Jets coaching staff have kept a consistent lineup and it looks that will remain the same.

Connor Hellebuyck is projected to get the start in goal after picking up his 20th win of the season on Saturday night. Hellebuyck currently has a 20-10-3 record with a 2.45 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.

As of late last night, the Senators traded Mike Reilly to the Boston Bruins. Josh Brown is projected to come in and fill Reilly’s vacant spot on defense.

Anton Forsberg is expected to start in net for the Sens tonight. The Senators are still expected to be without number one goaltender, Matt Murray, but he is expected to make his return soon.
