The Winnipeg Jets currently have the longest losing streak in the NHL, at seven games, and they have not picked up a point since they beat Maple Leafs on April 15 in Toronto.

Before this losing streak started, the Jets were within striking distance of the Leafs for first place in the North Division, but now they are sitting in a tie for third place with the Montreal Canadiens with 57 points in 51 games.

Despite all of the struggles in the past couple of weeks, the Winnipeg Jets can solidify their spot in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight.

The Winnipeg Jets can clinch a playoff berth tonight in their game against the Calgary Flames

The clinching scenario is simple to understand for the Winnipeg Jets. All the Jets need is a regulation win and they will clinch a spot in the playoffs.

As hockey fans know, this will not be a simple task for the Jets tonight against Calgary. The Jets and Flames have played many close games throughout the 2021 season and five out of their eight prior games have been decided by one goal with two of those being decided beyond the sixty minutes of regulation.

It is interesting to note that the Jets could clinch against the same team that eliminated them from the 2020 postseason. Winnipeg was eliminated in a best-of-five qualifying series in four games by Calgary.
