It is time to turn on the TV and get the popcorn out to watch the arguably most intriguing matchup in the NHL tonight as the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild face off at 6:00 p.m. Central Time at the Canada Life Centre.

One of the reasons why this is a must watch game is because of what happened last week when these teams met. In an extremely physical game that had a number of fights, in the middle of the third period after a fight between Adam Lowry and Marcus Foligno, Foligno kneed Lowry in the head as he was pinned down on the ice.

Fortunately, Lowry did not get hurt as the Jets were victorious by a 2-0 scoreline. Foligno was suspended for two games, but he is scheduled to return from his suspension tonight.

This is the last meeting between the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild this season

This matchup is the fourth and final time these sides are playing this regular season. The Wild are leading the season series with two wins and one loss, including a 6-5 overtime win the first time Winnipeg and Minnesota met.

Also for tonight’s game, the restrictions on the crowd capacity at the Jets’ games has been lifted and the Jets will allow for a full 100-percent capacity crowd for the first time since December 19.

Odds

WynnBET lists the Winnipeg Jets as the underdogs for tonight’s matchup.

Since last Tuesday, which was the last meeting between these sides, the Jets have a 1-1-1 record including losing to the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Monday night, while the Wild have won their two prior games against Carolina and Detroit.

Currently, the Wild are in second place in the Central Division with 63 points from 44 games and the Jets sit in sixth place with 48 points in 46 games.
