The Winnipeg Jets 2021-2022 regular season is coming to a close with only three games left on the schedule before the offseason begins.

All of the Jets’ remaining games are on home ice at the Canada Life Centre as they will host the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow (Wednesday), the Calgary Flames on Friday, and the Seattle Kraken on Sunday afternoon.

Although the Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention and are only coming up against one team that has clinched a spot in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs (Calgary), there are a few storylines to watch for in these final games of the season.

The Winnipeg Jets have three games remaining in the season and here are some things to watch

Here are our two things to watch during the final games of the 2021-2022 Winnipeg Jets season:

Can the Inexperienced Players Impress?

One thing that a team that is eliminated can do is play different players in different roles, especially the younger players and/or the players with little or no NHL experience.

It will be extremely interesting to watch players like Dylan Samberg, Morgan Barron, CJ Suess, Kristian Vesalainen, and Michael Eyssimont over these final games.

As the Jets start looking towards a successful offseason and 2022-2023 regular season these players can start making their case to make the Jets’ opening night roster for next season now.

Kyle Connor Goes for 50

Kyle Connor made history during the Jets’ 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday night as he set the modern Winnipeg Jets franchise record for goals in a single season with 45.

But can Connor reach a personal milestone that only 94 players in the history of the NHL have achieved? That milestone is fifty goals in a regular season.

It will be fun to watch Connor chase this achievement down in the final games of 21-22 and see if he can score five goals to become the first player of the modern Winnipeg Jets to hit that 50-goal total.
