The Winnipeg Jets have their final home game of the 2022 preseason tonight as they play host to the Calgary Flames at the Canada Life Centre. Tonight’s opening puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. central time (6:00 p.m. mountain time).

This is also the first game of a home-and-home series for the Jets and Flames that concludes the preseason for both of these sides. Winnipeg and Calgary will meet again on Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Jets have played four games this preseason and post a 2-1-1 record. In their last exhibition game, they lost 3-2 to the Edmonton Oilers in a shootout.

The Flames have played six games so far during their preseason, which included a split-squad game. They currently have a 4-2-0 record. Last time out, the Flames beat the Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Monday night in Calgary.

Calgary has yet to reveal their roster for tonight’s contest.

With two games left in the Winnipeg Jets preseason, there are still roster spots up for grabs

Since the beginning of training camp, there has been a constant spotlight regarding the battle for the sixth spot on the Jets’ blueline. The top three candidates for this stop are Ville Heionla, Dylan Samberg, and Logan Stanley. These three have plenty to play for over these last two games.

On forward, Brad Lambert went from someone who was considered a long shot to make the Jets roster at the beginning of training camp to now in the running to be on the Jets’ opening night roster. The thing is Lambert is still unsigned and the Jets have options on where Lambert can play this upcoming season. Tonight gives Lambert another case to earn an entry-level contract and a spot on the Jets roster.

It will be interesting to watch all of the Jets’ individual roster battles play out over this game and Friday’s game.

*The Jets roster for this game will be posted to this article as soon as it is released.*

Where to Catch the Game
