And just like that, the final preseason game for the Winnipeg Jets is here. Tonight the Winnipeg Jets conclude their preseason in Calgary at the Scotiabank Saddledome against the Flames. The game is set to start at 8:00 p.m. central time.

This is the second game of a home-and-home series for the Jets and Flames. On Wednesday night, the Jets skated to a commanding 5-0 victory over the Flames at the Canada Life Centre. David Rittich stopped all 37 shots he faced and the Jets went an impressive three-for-five on the man advantage in the win.

That win improved the Jets’ preseason record to 3-1-1, while the Flames now have a 4-3-0 record in their exhibition games.

With one preseason game left, there are still battles for Winnipeg Jets roster spots

With rosters being due in a couple of days, the battles for opening night roster spots are coming to a close. Even though tonight is the last chance for players to make their final case to impress the Jets’ coaching staff and earn a roster spot, Rick Bowness stated he has seen enough to make his final judgments.

It is expected that Connor Hellebuyck will get the start in goal for the Jets after Rittich played on Wednesday. Also, yesterday, the Jets sent Arvid Holm down to the Manitoba Moose yesterday.

Must Read. David Rittich may bring out best of Connor Hellebuyck. light
