Tonight the Winnipeg Jets will face off against the St. Louis Blues. The Jets and Blues will both be battling to reach top spot in the Central Division over Nashville. The Jets currently are 3 points behind St. Louis, which means nobody could go up or down with a win tonight. If Winnipeg wins, it’ll bring the 2nd place (In the Central Division) Blues and the 3rd place Jets a lot closer.
Both teams are really battling with injuries. The Jets have their one of their top defensive pairings, Enstrom and Byfuglien and both out. The Blues have it a bit worse with about five players sidelined, including Bouwmeester and Pietrangelo.
Starting goalies
The Winnipeg Jets have confirmed that Steve Mason will get the start tonight. Mason is just returning from injury and will have his first start since his concussion. Mason started the season off a bit shaky, and has a record of 2-4-1. His GAA is 3.45 and his Save Percentage is .904. Hopefully for Mason’s sake, he pulls off a nice win tonight or he’ll probably end up riding the pine for a while. The Blues are starting Carter Hutton tonight instead of Jake Allen.

Final Thoughts on the Winnipeg Jets
In my opinion tonight will end up in a Jets win, because St. Louis has such a beaten up lineup. Scheifele and Laine will pull through tonight, and I’m calling that one of those two will get two goals. I think if the the Jets win this game, Mason will get into it and start playing solid. With a win tonight, this could be the beginning of a hot streak for Mason.
